Getting Involved

It is only by working with local people that we can make Coventry a safer place.

There are many ways for people to get involved, including:

Join or establish a Neighbourhood Watch scheme. Schemes get information and warnings directly from agencies and offer another way for people to give important information to the police

Organise a community clean-up in your street. Practical help - like free litter-pickers and graffiti removal kits - are available from the City Council.

Give information about suspicious activity, crime and anti social behaviour. Information can be passed to agencies by contacting:

  • the police on 0845 113 5000 (you may want to ask for your local Neighbourhood Policing Team)
  • your housing association
  • It's Your Call (anti social behaviour reporting line) on 024 7683 1300
  • Coventry Direct (to report envirocrime and problems with the street scene)
  • Crimestoppers (an independent charity where information supplied can be anonymous and not shared with police or other agencies) on 0800 555 111
